Kang Yoo A first immigrated to the United States in 1990 to Minnesota. At the age of 52, Kang turned to printmaking to process her experiences at the intersection of being an immigrant, a Korean, a woman of color, a mother, and domestic violence survivor. Her prints have been showcased in Bloomington, IN; Chicago; South Bend; and Washington, DC. She is busy fighting her archenemy, English, every day.
